Project Manager

  • Responsible for the successful implementation of Tarantula products in customer environments within agreed scope, timelines, and budget.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create the project charter outlining the scope, goals, deliverables, required resources, budget, and timelines.
  • Prepare scope of work and seek necessary approvals from customers and other stakeholders.
  • Prepare detailed work breakdown structures and an execution plan. Adopt internal delivery tools to execute and track the work until closure.
  • Manage the cost, schedule and scope by overseeing project deliverables and make sure that they are in line with the plan. If not, revise them appropriately with the necessary approvals.
  • Evaluate the status of the project versus plan, and proactively identify possible project risks. Implement risk mitigation solutions as appropriate with the help of performance and project metrics.
  • Lead delivery assurance review sessions with technical and business teams, including all levels of management within Tarantula and the client organization.
  • Provide status reports to team members, Tarantula management, and clients.
  • Maintain consistency in the approach and integration of development efforts across the customer base and adhere to the benchmark processes in project delivery and quality assurance.
  • Effectively manage any changes to scope through robust change request processes, appropriate documentation, and required approvals. Carefully assess change impact from a technical and functional perspective and provide guidance to the team.
  • Be responsible for people management. Set concise and clear expectations about project deliverables and guide the team using appropriate methods and best practices.
  • Be responsible for the maintenance of a knowledge base among the team members and guide the team in enhancing their technical capabilities and productivity.

Educational Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science is essential for this role. A Masters in Technology or Business Administration would be an added advantage.
  • PMP certification is preferred.

Technical Skills

  • 10-12 years, including 2-3 years of Project Management experience in running a mid-sized ERP implementation team and working with international customers.
  • Sound technical knowledge, and hands-on experience in creating, maintaining, and troubleshooting source code in a complex codebase.
  • Proficiency in effort estimation techniques, project planning, execution, MS-Office and people management.
