South African startup towerco adopts Tarantula platform for site rollout enablement

Singapore – April 16, 2019 – Tarantula, a leading provider of purpose-built site portfolio management solutions, today announced that one of the newest towercos in South Africa has employed the Tarantula site portfolio management software to manage site rollout in rural South Africa.

The up and coming towerco is rolling out sites in the rural areas of South Africa for one of the leading mobile network operators in the region, with a growth plan of over 1000 sites in the next 3 years. The towerco is offering low-profile, rapid-build, sharable sites with a small footprint in areas with low ARPU to support the regional directive of providing 99% coverage to mobile subscribers. The company has signed on to use the Tarantula site management tools to manage its portfolio and achieve high speed to market. The Tarantula software will be rolled out with the Quick Launch deployment that allows young tower companies to hit the ground running with managing their tower operations including site, asset, lease, and billing data.
